My husband claimed it as his after our first flight with it. (I was okay with that because I really am partial to the next pillow on the list.) This pillow wraps around your neck and has a flexible insert that helps cradle your chin so you can sleep upright.

The long arm goes in the crook of your neck and cradles your head while the other flaps rest against your shoulder and head. I lost mine while in a lounge in the Vancouver airport and was so sad, but I ordered a new one as soon as I got home.

These are a must-have for long-haul flights! No one likes swollen ankles, and this helps protect you against travel blood clots. If you have to wear them they might as well be cute too! I put mine on just before leaving for the airport and have had so much less swelling than I did before I used them.

I hate wearing shoes on flights! I feel like I cannot get comfortable with my shoes on, and after I put on my compression socks, I don’t want to walk around in stocking feet on an airplane. They are useful beyond the airplane too! They are great if you want to use them to walk around your hotel, and they can double as water shoes because they are breathable mesh.

You don’t have to spend a lot to give someone who loves to travel a gift they’ll actually use. In fact, some of the least expensive things in my suitcase are the ones I use on almost every trip.
Luggage tags: A particularly good gift for someone who insists on traveling with a black suitcase that looks exactly like everyone else’s. Bright luggage tags make it much easier to spot your bag on the carousel.
Passport holder: I didn’t understand the point of a passport holder until I started using one that also holds my ID, credit cards, and boarding pass. Now I can keep everything I need at the airport in one place instead of digging through my bag.
Sleep mask and earplugs: An inexpensive but genuinely useful gift for red-eye flights, long layovers, and hotel rooms that aren’t nearly as dark or quiet as you’d like.
Packable daypack: One of my favorite things to bring on a trip because it takes up almost no suitcase space but gives you an extra bag for sightseeing, hiking, jackets, snacks, and water bottles once you arrive.
