During your tour around those incredible landscapes, the locals work hard to maintain the place. I recommend you join a tour with a guide who will give you some interesting facts about the place. 

 Tegalalang Rice Fields’ relaxing atmosphere makes an excellent place to wind down and forget your worries. It is 20 20-minute drive away from Ubud City, so you can visit while staying in Ubud. 

Visit Ubud Traditional Market

One of the top things to do in Bali is visit the Ubud Traditional Market. At this Balinese market, you can shop until you drop. You can find hand-made and traditional Souvenirs that you won’t find anywhere else. 

Balinese artists handcraft many items and excel at it. You can find woven bags, silk scarves, and other artisanal handcrafted goods. This is a great place to find gifts for solo travelers. 

Trek Mount Batur

Trekking Mount Batur is one of the most rewarding experiences in Bali. You can enjoy the sunrise view on top of the mountain, which will leave you in awe and take your breath away. 

On top of the volcanic mountain, you are promised a view of Lake Batur and the surrounding tropical forest. The hike is only 2 to 3 hours, so you have time to indulge in the breathtaking views and take some pictures. 

The hike is considered easy to moderate, depending on your fitness level. Some terrain is rocky and steep, but nothing you cannot handle. You will rise to 500 meters (1,650 feet) above sea level.  

Whitewater Rafting At Ayung River

There is no greater experience than water rafting. As you flow with the currents and speeding up at about 9 mph, you can feel the adrenaline rush. 

The Ayung River gives you the experience of a lifetime. It is the longest and widest river in Bali. Expect to see other rafters because many enjoy this activity in Ayung River. Therefore, you should add whitewater rafting to your fun things to do in Bali. 

Visit Pura Lempuyang

Pura Lempuyang is known as the “Gateway to Heaven” and “the temple of a thousand steps.” It might be a challenging climb, but worth it. It takes 1700 steps to reach the temple. 

The view from above is breathtaking. It can make your heart palpitate and stir your sense of wonder. It is known as the most Instagrammable spot in Bali. You can spot Mount Agung at a distance and grab some pictures. 

Visit Ulun Danu Beratan

Located on the Western side of Beratan Lake in Bedugu, the Ulun Danu Beratan temple is known as “the floating temple.” Its ambiance is out of this world. 

Once you step foot at the temple, you can see why many people like to visit. It is a breathtaking and quiet environment. It is a good place for those who seek solitude and reflection to increase growth and creativity. 

Visit Sababay Winery

The Sababay Winery is known to offer a sip of happiness. Once you sip their wine, you will want to have more. 

Located along Teluk Saba in Gianyar, the Winery offers a connoisseur guide, local snacks, and Sababay wine. I highly recommend their tour because you get to taste their wine, and the tour guide will walk you through the process of making wine from start to finish. 

Taste Their Local Food

You can head down to a street food or local restaurant to try their delicious traditional food. Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka is a must try food. It is a roasted pork dish that is only offered in Indonesia. 

Another must-try dish is the Bebek Bengil. It is a delicious deep-fried duck with Indonesian species. By just seeing it, it would leave your mouth watering. 

Waterbom Bali

You can find more than 20 water slides at the best waterpark in Asia. It features the Climax ride, which can make your heart pound against your chest. The thrill of this water ride is something not to miss. 

My favorite ride is Smash Down 2.0. I was initially nervous, but it did not seem as bad after I tried it. You enter a capsule around 26 meters high, and then the floor drops down from underneath. You then vertically drop down the slide. 

It all escalates quickly. In a matter of seconds, you’re at the bottom. I recommend keeping your eyes open and enjoying the ride. 

Visit Lovina Beach

Located 10 minutes away from Ubud, Lovina Beach offers leisure and recreational activities that make wanting more. My favorite activity is cruising around the beach and watching bottle-nosed dolphins jumping and swimming around you as if they welcome you to the sea. 

It is also known for its mesmerizing underwater, which makes it an excellent spot for snorkeling and scuba diving. Many marine life, such as turtles, sharks, and colorful tropical fish, call the beach home. 

It is also known for its gray and black volcanic sand. Early in the morning, you can feel the sand’s warmth kissing your skin and putting your mind at ease. You can sunbathe and enjoy the sunrise. It is quite beautiful.
